ALL SPORT MOUTHGUARDS |
According to the American Dental Association, over 200,000 injuries are prevented every year by the use of athletic mouthguards.PAR has been fabricating an appliance known as a Tooth Positioner for many years. The positioner is used as a final corrective device after orthodontic treatment (straightening crooked teeth). The manufacturing technique of this appliance is unique in that the positioner is made from a solid piece of pliable material where the upper and lower teeth are molded into a one piece appliance.
PAR believes that this technique is appropriate for the fabrication of mouthguards, as the teeth are fully encapsulated by the soft material, and the articulation method also protects the mandible and helps prevent TMJ problems which could occur from a blow to the jaw during any sports play.
For these reasons they are far superior to the stock or boil and bite type mouthguards available in sporting goods stores. Boil and bite type mouthguards do not fit as accurately as custom fabricated types and do not provide adequate coverage -- they are often uncomfortable and can become dislodged.
All Sport Mouthguards provide FULL Protection and are available in a variety of colors and materials -- in addition to the thermal - vinyl positioner materials, we also offer vacuum formed single arch laminates.
PAR Orthodontic Laboratory is involved with supplying many teams with custom mouthguards, as well as many professional boxers.
